Be on the lookout for "Concealed in Death" (Book 38) by JD Robb
I can't wait to catch up with Eve and Roarke. This is my favorite series.
Concealed in Death (Book 38) Set to be released on February 18, 2014.
"In a decrepit, long-empty New York building, Lieutenant Eve Dallas’s
husband begins the demolition process by swinging a sledgehammer into a
wall. When the dust clears, there are two skeletons wrapped in plastic
behind it. He summons his wife immediately—and by the time she’s done
with the crime scene, there are twelve murders to be solved.
The
place once housed a makeshift shelter for troubled teenagers, back in
the mid-2040s, and Eve tracks down the people who ran it. Between their
recollections and the work of the force’s new forensic anthropologist,
Eve begins to put names and faces to the remains. They are all young
girls. A tattooed tough girl who dealt in illegal drugs. The runaway
daughter of a pair of well-to-do doctors. They all had their stories.
And they all lost their chance for a better life.
Then Eve
discovers a connection between the victims and someone she knows. And
she grows even more determined to reveal the secrets of the place that
was called The Sanctuary—and the evil concealed in one human heart."

Review of My Heart In Seoul
"Sydney is a sensitive writer. As someone who grew up reading Harlequin romance novels, I appreciate the sincerity of My Heart in Seoul. The book is about people, real people, erasing any stereotypical lines that are so often drawn in any medium. If you like whips, chains, handcuffs, demons, ghosts or vampires, this isn't the book for you. If you like something genuine and heartfelt, this book won't disappoint."

"Breathe" by Faith Hill...
I often use music
to set the tone for my writing. It helps create the vibe I'm trying to convey. When I'm sitting there staring at a blank monitor, and attempting to get inside a characters head music is a very useful tool.
When I wrote my love scenes I listened to romantic music. "Breathe" by Faith Hill is so beautiful. It was one of the many songs I listened to while working on the book. Here's one of my favorite versions of the song.

My review of "K.A.R.M.A" by Grant McKenzie
"The children want revenge. Tech-savvy victims of abuse unite to turn their collective pain into bloody retribution. The group calls itself K.A.R.M.A: Kids Against Rape, Murder and Abuse. To ensure the group’s message is heard, K.A.R.M.A enlists the aid of Tom Hackett, a rebellious freelance photojournalist who flaunts his willingness to break the rules for that perfect moneymaking shot.
By tipping Hackett to the location of fresh kill, the group ensures sensational front-page media play. But when the identity of one victim hits too close to home, K.A.R.M.A awakens a haunted past that could destroy everything Tom holds dear. In struggling with his conscience, Tom becomes an obstacle that K.A.R.M.A can’t allow to live."
Review:
Mr. McKenzie is right up there with the greats like Connelly and Crais. K.A.R.M.A is not for the faint of heart, it's dark and pretty brutal. Have you ever read a book and found yourself reading a page or a paragraph over, because it's a little slow? Well that will not be the case with K.A.R.M.A. This book took off right out of the gate, and the intensity never let up. It will create a movie in your mind, which is the mark of excellence.
