Character profile: Summer Alexander

Summer is a divorced, hardworking mom. She's compassionate, loves animals and the TV show Supernatural. Summer is also strong and independent. She tries to see the best in everyone; and also tries to be optimistic. She's always looking out for others, like her neighbors, and folks at the diner. I like the relationship she has with her ex-husband Dane. I didn't want to write he/she cheated on me or was an abuser type of book. Sometimes no matter how much two people may love each other, it just doesn't work out. She's instantly attracted to Joon, but because she felt heartache and because she has a son, she wanted to take it slow.

 

What to watch...

 I make a point not to read works of fiction while I’m writing a novel. I even stay away from films within the same category as my book. Fortunately, I’m not working on a book about vampires. So, this Mother’s Day I kicked back and enjoyed one of my favorite vampire films... Salem’s Lot. I’m a huge vampire movie buff, and this is one of the creepiest.
