Summer solstice 2020

"The summer sun shone round me,

The folded valley lay

MHS writing anniversary.

MHS is one of my favorite stories. I look back on it and I see how much I've grown as an author and more importantly as a human being.  It was written during a very tough time in my life, my best friend was on her deathbed, and writing was my escape. 

The the book was published right after my friend passed, it was so bittersweet. Still, I love the story and I knew if I fell in love with Wen while writing it, readers would also fall in love with him.  If you liked the book, be sure to check out the audiobook, the narrator, Elizabeth Redmond does an awesome job. This was a clever little story that was very topical and entertaining. As I'm reading, I think I may have it figured out and then a surprise pops up. That is the sheer genius of author Vivienne Diane Neal. If you're looking for a quick read full of surprises, and mystery with a very satisfying ending give this one a try.
